As always, the new moon creates time to pause, reset, and slow down…all things Gemini doesn’t exactly enjoy doing. Instead the gregarious air sign leans more towards moving quickly, sometimes at the cost of being scattered. Pay attention to all the things that want your attention this new moon, how can you instead direct your thoughts and intentions more clearly.
Gemini is great at communicating, chatting, and charming. Though it can certainly show up as two-sided or thinking in extremes. A healthy expression for this sign would be moving towards the ability to hold two things at once and integrating parts that may seem like opposites. This alchemical capacity could be the key to Gemini’s magic and constant curiosity and skill at holding the paradox of being both teacher and student.
The sextiles to the asteroid Juno and the dwarf planet Eris suggest there may be subtle influences. Juno may be whispering to us about the partnership and lovers side of Gemini, while Eris gentle reminds us that sometimes understanding those we perceive as enemies can be a major life-learning.
This week’s new moon also occurs on the same day as Venus enters Leo and Mercury trine Chiron. Venus’ move signals a focus on the aspect of relating that creates intimacy with self, while Mercury with Chiron invites us into communication about the often insecure or painful parts. All three of these cosmic happenings move us closer to the full moon at the end of the month before we begin an eclipse cycle in July.
The Gemini new moon isn’t meant to be a heavy, utilize the air sign’s lightness and gift of gab to speak out loud focused intentions that uplift and inspire. Or try some of these other ways to connect to this moon’s energies:
Everyday ritual recommendations:
//Mind// Read Dr. Jekkyl and Mr. Hyde, kidding, or maybe not. Read anything, no really, just something. Other options would be to watch a documentary or a based on true life movie.
//Body// Some sort of group sport for the social aspect. Otherwise, Pilates, an option that slows you down and also makes you focus.
//Spirit// Any meditation for slowing the monkey mind, in particular one with a focal point such as an object or breath. Try the Focus and Awareness Ritual Kit, or the Chill, Dude Incense Making Kit.
//Soul// Explore your relationship to black and white thinking, or places you split yourself or others into only two categories. Perhaps it is possible to be all of it at the same time.

As we navigate the celestial currents of 2025, a unique astrological event awaits: both Venus and Mercury will be retrograde simultaneously. Venus will transition from Aries to Pisces during its retrograde, while Mercury will retrograde in Aries. This rare cosmic alignment offers a profound opportunity for introspection, reassessment, and personal growth. When these two influential planets appear to move backward in the sky, their retrograde energies prompt us to slow down and reevaluate critical aspects of our lives. While the experience may seem challenging, it ultimately serves as a chance to heal, reset, and reconnect with our true desires and intentions.
