Welcome to your August 2020 astrological overview!
August is a month where I encourage everyone to slow down and cool their jets. The intensity of the planetary aspects will only increase as the month goes on. Take your time when traveling places, or making significant decisions. Steer clear of any conflict, and steer clear of going toe to toe with someone. Tempers are likely to flare, and some of the most dangerous and unexpected things can take place. This will be due to transit Mars's squares causing friction with Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto. Mars and Pluto are the bosses of astrology; no one wants to pick a fight with them. When they come into challenging angles, explosive events take place. The month kicks off with Mercury the messenger in opposition to Pluto on the first. This will bring about intense conversations, and possibly some juicy information. Shortly after, Mercury will oppose Saturn in Capricorn as well, indicating some new set of rules or regulations being rolled out. This is just in time for the Full Moon in Aquarius on the 3rd. This will be an excellent full moon for reconnecting with friends and possibly experiencing some "safe social distancing " socializing. I expect a mix of sweet and sour with this Moon. But hey, you take what you can get!
On the fourth, Mars in Aries makes his first square to planets in Capricorn, squaring off with Jupiter. This is when you guys want to start to watch for flaring tempers. Mars likes a good fight, while Jupiter magnifies situations. On the other hand, this could be changes in travel limitations and a push to reopen some destinations or methods of travel. Be careful this day, especially while driving or using heavy machinery. Blades, flames, and heat should be handled with care as well. Mercury enters Leo on the fifth, bringing about light-hearted and charming conversations. This energy should be good until about August 10th, when Mercury runs into a square with unpredictable Uranus. This can bring about mental tension and stress, so watch out. On the 13th of the month, Mars makes his second square, except this time to Pluto in Capricorn. This is the one you want to watch out for and can be exceptionally dangerous. Crime, attacks, and aggression come with this energy. If possible, avoid any confrontation or unsafe spaces. Accidents may come about with this transit as well.
On the 14th of the month, Uranus is going retrograde in Taurus, forcing us as a whole to re-evaluate our values. For some, this can be financial; for others, it could be romance. Retrogrades always give us time to review or revisit something. So it seems this has been in the works already for some time. On the 17th of the month, the sign meets with Mercury and Leo, which makes for an excellent communication day. It will be fantastic for writers, educators, and creatives alike! Some may get extra special messages from the universe this day. You'll have to listen wisely and pay attention to Mercury's subtle signals. The new Moon will be in the sign of Leo on August 18th. With some exciting aspects between Venus and Uranus, unexpected jolts of romance may be in the air. Exciting new friendships and financial gains can arise.
On the 20th of the month, Mercury enters Virgo, where he excels and gets down to details. Communication can be extra clear around this day. Shortly after, the sun moves into Virgo on the 23rd. This will shine a light on areas that need to be better cleansed or organized. Virgo wants to help and be of service, so take note of offering assistance to others. On the 24th, Mars makes a square to Saturn in Capricorn. This indicates there are a few karmic hurdles to overcome. Don't fret- it's only temporary. From the 25th through the 30th of the month, Venus is making some unusual aspects in the sky. These are days to really pay attention, as it can be ecstasy or agony. Some may expect to fall madly in Love, while others may have emotional issues revolving around Love or finance. Pay attention to what happens on these days to show if you're holding on too tightly to something. The month wraps up with Mercury opposite dreamy Neptune. This can be an excellent aspect for meditating, writing poetry, or perhaps even Psychic channeling. However, it's not typically the best day to be signing contracts or making travel plans. People could easily misunderstand one another, so save any important meetings for before or after this day.

Aries
Tarot Card: Judgement- An awakening, wake up call, or final decision.
Something about your close friends or associations may be highlighted at the time of the full Moon. Celebrations, parties, and even reconciliations are possible. The new Moon is shining a light on your house of romance and creativity. Suppose there any new projects or relationships that you're trying to jumpstart; now is the time. Keep a close eye out for tension between you and a boss or authority figure. You may experience a challenging time navigating your career or standing up yourself. If things get too overwhelming, take a step back. Sometimes your peace is more important than having the last word.
Taurus
Tarot Card: The Sun- Joy, ego, expression, or creativity.
This is an excellent month for career presentations or possibly even promotions. The full Moon will be shining a light on all that you do at work. Expect some positive attention from superiors. The new Moon is allowing you to plant new seeds for your home or emotional foundation. If you're looking to move, this can be an excellent time to start looking; renovations can also occur. Watch out for some tension mid to late August. You may feel anxious, and the need to break free. Interruptions in sleep patterns are likely, so take the proper time to wind down at the end of the day. Delays and travel can be expected, especially if it's by plane.
Gemini
Tarot Card: 6 of Wands- Victory at hand, success.
The Full Moon will be highlighting all that you believe in. It can be a time where educational goals are coming together. Faith and optimism should be high at the time of this Full Moon. The new Moon will be highlighting short distance trips, contracts, or conversations. If you're currently wanting to start writing something, the New Moon is a great time. Look out for some tension between friends. There can be some exposing of secrets, or possibly even some sexual tension. Be cautious in dealing with lending or borrowing money from friends. It's likely to go sideways, leading to an argument.
Cancer
Tarot Card: 8 of Wands- Rapid results or events, moving in the right direction.
The full Moon is highlighting your intimacy sector. Taxes, loans, or paying off debt might be the focus of this full Moon. Unexpected things will be illuminated here, so be prepared. The good news is the new Moon will be in your house of money and values. This is the most potent new Moon all year for you to set intentions on finances or abundance. If I were you, I would also factor self-esteem into that equation as well. The better you feel, the more you make. This month there's likely to be a tug-of-war between your career and your relationship. Finding a balance can be very stressful, as a partner is expected to let you know when you're not paying attention.
Leo
Tarot Card: King of Cups- A water sign man, or someone who has a warm emotional nature.
Beautiful things are happening in the relationship realm. Open your heart, and speak honestly. It's only then that others can meet you halfway. The new Moon is in your first house, bringing much attention to you and your beautiful self. This is a lovely time for a makeover or making changes to your cosmetic routine. New hair, clothes, and makeup are all favored. The attention is all on you! Watch out for tension when it comes to matters of law, or coworkers. There could be some challenges in traveling due to health concerns or schedule issues. This is the time to be more open-minded about learning more about your health and adopting new routines.
Virgo
Tarot Card: 7 of Coins- Being cautious, ensuring things are fruitful.
This month the Full Moon is taking place in your house of coworkers and daily routine. It's likely you're going to experience a shift in your schedule, or change with work altogether. Don't fret whatever happens; it's for the best. Most likely, it's just figuring out how to adapt to schedule changes. Granted, some coworkers can leave. The new Moon is taking place in your 12th house, helping you focus on your spirit and tranquility. Watch for conflict and tension concerning matters of the heart. Breakups and separations can happen here due to intense emotions and anger flare-ups. Take your time, sometimes trying not to control the situation is the best option.
Libra
Tarot Card: 9 of Swords- Anxiety and worry.
This is a month where you’ve got to take the good with the bad. There's going to be plenty of sweet and salty aspects for you. The good news is true Love is on the horizon as a full moon shines a light in your fifth house of romance. You may be coming together with someone special in the weeks ahead. The new Moon emphasizes connecting socially and making new friends. If you're invited to get together, be sure to attend. Expect some tension between your home and relationship zone. It seems these two are at odds, and you want to expand your home or finally move forward with a relationship. It's now or never. If a partner doesn't rise to the occasion, you will likely walk away.
Scorpio
Tarot Card: 5 of Coins- Feeling left out in the cold, having no assistance.
There is a beautiful full moon taking place in your home zone. Those of you who have been planning to move for some time might take the first steps, while others might be completing a move. Family and emotions can be a big theme this month. Pay close attention to work and try not to get to off balance by your family. You will be sewing new seeds for your career, which will take the better part of the next six months to play out fully. You may feel frustrated and as if you're doing all the hard work alone. If you're looking to make a job change, set your intentions with this New Moon. Watch for tensions between communicating with coworkers, or possibly even a sibling. Intense conversations can come about. Do your best to keep your cool.
Sagittarius
Tarot Card: 5 of Swords- Do not resist change.
The full Moon is shining a light on communication for you this month. Important texts, emails, and phone calls are likely to take place. Pay extra close attention to vehicles and contracts. The new Moon allows you the opportunity to set intentions for travel and education. It will be an excellent time to plan or book a trip for the end of this year. New courses, spiritual studies, or legal matters are given the green light at this time as well. There appears to be some tension between your house values and ego. This is a great month to communicate and express what's most important to you. Keep in mind there are some things that money can't buy. Beauty and the arts are favored this month.
Capricorn
Tarot Card: Two of Coins- Balancing two, feeling overwhelmed.
The Full Moon is taking place in your financial zone, and you're likely to either encounter a considerable expense or pay off. Watch for big purchases, and ensure that you've done the budgeting necessary to afford them. The new Moon is in your house of secrecy and intimacy. Here you're going to be focusing on being able to dig deep psychologically or sexually. New passions or romantic partners can appear now. There's going to be some major pressure between your house of self, and your house of home and family. You may be at odds with a roommate or a family member. Be cautious when it comes to standing up for yourself as you may come off a little intense. Exercising your boundaries is essential, starting conflict is not.
Aquarius
Tarot Card: 7 of Swords- Cautious with untrustworthy people or situations.
This Full Moon is all about you! Pay extra attention to your body, as you can feel more exhausted or emotional than usual. Take care of your ankles as well, and watch out for any unexpected tumbles. The new Moon shines a light in your relationship zone. This allows you to either find somebody new or completely start over. Suppose you're just getting to know someone, they may be open to taking the next step. There might be some weird Psychic tension brewing. This month you may feel as if you're hitting a wall, and you can't see the invisible block in front of you. Watch out for questionable characters that try to get you to agree to or sign things. Someone is likely to try and deceive you.
Pisces
Tarot Card: Knight of Swords- A swift message or conversation.
Unexpended events and possible issues with friends can arise with this month's full Moon. Some friends may come and go at the drop of a hat. Avoid confrontation; instead, seek insight into a tarot or intuitive reading to better understand the situation. Health and organization are the emphasis of the new Moon later in the month. If you're looking for a new job or office space, it's the best time to manifest. New health or diet routines can be adopted around the time of the new Moon as well. It's time to get things in order! Be mindful of borrowing or lending to a friend, as things may not pan out well. It's best to keep your finances to yourself this month.
