Analysis

Welcome to the monthly joining of the Sun and the Moon. This month it’s in the fiery fixed of Leo. with both of these heavenly bodies in this fire sign, passion and playfulness are expected. As with all New Moons, this is a time of intention and seed planting. This astrology will be laying the groundwork for the following four weeks. The star of the show is not only the Sun, which burns very bright in Leo, but Mercury. Mercury, the messenger god, is tightly conjunct the Sun and Moon at the time of this lunation. This is an indication of meaningful communication. Ideas are likely to be exchanged, and curiosity will run high. Anything involving learning or possibly even travel will be blessed. It’s expected in the weeks ahead travel will flow more freely. Both the north and south nodes are heavily aspect it at the time of this New Moon. This is an indication of a turning point in time, where the past and the future are working together collectively in the now. This suggests situations taking place this month are very important, and almost serve as a puzzle piece to figuring out the future.

We’ve got a handful of planets in their ruling signs. This is exceptionally powerful and something that happens only a handful of times a year, if that. When multiple planets align in their dignified sign, magic happens. Why? Because they're at home in the energies that they were born to express. The Sun in Leo burns bright, bringing attention and warmth to all that it touches. This placement is likely to encourage artists to perform, and children to play. Mars is in Aries, leading the way and blazing new trails. Ready to fight or make love. With this placement, tempers may flare, people may speed, and military mobilization is expected. And we have Saturn, the old devil, in Capricorn still keeping a close eye on us, ensuring we are serving our karmic debts. This will be a continuation of boundaries and limits in the world, along with political delays. However, it’s not all doom and gloom; with these three in their personal power, they excel in whichever area of your chart they touch. There’s a unique conversation going on between these signs. In a way, it truly helps us get things done easier, with less resistance.

The more challenging aspects of this lunation would be Pluto and Jupiter’s square to Mars in Aries. I have written about this explosive and downright dangerous energy. This is a square that brings about violence and conflict- but it’s still not a time for going toe to toe with some people. Due to the impending Mars retrograde, Mars will go in and out of this square several times this year. This is similar to a pressure cooker, building up steam before it screams. Take your time, don’t rush when getting around town, and give people the benefit of the doubt. Practice active listening, not just reacting. Saturn also makes a funky angle to the gang of planets in Leo, suggesting the tail end of Summer may feel like a bit of a dud when it comes to having fun and going out. He’s still holding tight with his restrictions. But don’t worry, it’s likely going to fade in the weeks ahead. Push through and enjoy the sunshine anyway. Solar rituals and connections to Solar deities will be especially magical at this time.

Currently, Mars in Aries is making some harmonious trines to both the Sun and the Moon. Mars does very well in Aries and is a fellow fire sign. Mars represents our will or drive. It burns or combusts when excited. Passion runs very deep with this planet, and when it’s linked up to the Sun it has excess energy to burn. It’s like a never-ending engine. Together with the Sun, the Moon, and Mercury, Mars delivers a packed punch of energy. This will bring about an uplifting and creative feeling in many. It’s terrific for finally getting to your to-do list, or perhaps throwing yourself into a creative project. Confidence will run high all month long. Passion and desire will be central themes bringing about a romantic fever in some. Electrifying Uranus is in a sextile to Venus in Cancer, causing some jolts from the heavens above. Sudden unexpected shake-ups in relationships or romance are likely. But in this sense, it’s more like being struck by Cupid’s arrows. For those moving through relationship changes, look to Venus square Chiron as the final step in healing a broken heart. New love is on the horizon.

Cancer x July: A Summertime Symphony of Water & Warmth
Cancer x July: A Summertime Symphony of Water & Warmth

July 05, 2025 0 Comments

As the Sun dips into the fiery heart of summer, July emerges—golden, long, and lazy. And right alongside it, the zodiac’s watery guardian, Cancer, takes the helm. July is one of the few month’s of the year (next to March or April, depending on the date of Ostara) where a pagan holiday or fire festival is not observed, yet the middle of summer seems almost ritualistic in how entrenched we become with the richness of the season. Looking further, it only makes sense as to why Cancer, summer’s sweetest star sign, is the mascot to the start of summer. Here’s why the vibrancy of July and the nurturing essence of Cancer are cosmic twins—bound by symbolism, season, and soul.

Celestial Insights: The Cosmic Dance of Venus & Mercury Retrograde, March 2025

February 25, 2025 0 Comments

As we navigate the celestial currents of 2025, a unique astrological event awaits: both Venus and Mercury will be retrograde simultaneously. Venus will transition from Aries to Pisces during its retrograde, while Mercury will retrograde in Aries. This rare cosmic alignment offers a profound opportunity for introspection, reassessment, and personal growth. When these two influential planets appear to move backward in the sky, their retrograde energies prompt us to slow down and reevaluate critical aspects of our lives. While the experience may seem challenging, it ultimately serves as a chance to heal, reset, and reconnect with our true desires and intentions.
