A TIME FOR FOCUS & CELEBRATION

FULL MOON 7 DEGREES SAGITTARIUS: Tuesday, May 29

 7:20 a.m. PT/10:20 a.m. ET/2:20 p.m. UTC

  • Grand trine with North and South Nodes
  • Sextile Mars

Keywords/Themes: Expand, Philosophical ideals, morality, travel, action, moving forward, growth at all costs, bravado, adventure, religion, conviction, abundance, life path.

Collective Energies:

Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius wants abundance: to go big or go home, have your cake and eat it too, as well as have plenty of time for fun. Sagittarius is the sign of optimism and also expands the realm of feelings. It rules the pointer finger and can be eager to place blame when it concerns itself with morality and ideals as well as philosophy. However, the shadow side of it can be arrogance, exaggeration, or superiority.

Watch out for overindulgence or being optimistic to a point that ignores the emotions. This full moon offers a wonderful time to examine our truth and tap into our adventurous side, as well as making time to be silly or be playful. Spiritual and religious concerns may take a priority or evoke our inner humanitarian, as Sagittarius sometimes leans towards a messiah/redeemer tendencies.

The grand trine with the  Moon, North Node, and South Node reminds us about moving forward and staying on our soul’s path and vision. While the sextile to Mars may imply focusing on what we want and taking action towards our visions from the last new moon.

Sagittarius wants to celebrate. This is a good time for holidays, weddings, birthdays, etc. so make time to honor what is good and working in your life on this optimistic full moon. Though don't be disappointed if you are feeling more emotional, this can also be an expansion of the emotional realm that could feel warm-hearted or too much.

This full moon may also bring us into more heart opening and exploration, so run with it!  Here are some ritual suggestions for integrating these energies:

Everyday ritual recommendations:

// Body // Soothing essential oils such as lavender (try our Lavender Ritual Candle or Ritual Oil)

// Mind // Philosophy or religious texts, or travel books

// Spirit // Metta meditation or heart opening yoga asanas

// Soul // Do more things that bring you into joy and expansion. The Happiness & Inspiration Ritual Kit is perfect for just this!

What an excellent and abundant Full Moon! The Sun and the Moon are making their monthly opposition to one another in the opposite signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. Both representing ideas, communication, expansion. But Sagittarius is more prone to filtering out the noise and trying to expand the BIG PICTURE. Sagittarians are natural born story tellers. So what’s your story? This is a time to really sit down and ask yourself; what is it you want? Who or what do you want to be? What do you believe in? Where is your life heading? Your answer may be very far off from where you stand now, and that’s ok.  If you’ve been spinning your wheels, and are ready to make some changes now is the time....

Low Magick vs High Magick + Spellwork Sunday, June 16th, 2019

As with many aspects of the esoteric and occult and even mainstream religion, magic is composed of dualities. The most obvious divide is that of black ("bad") magic and white ("good") magic. From time to time, when acquaintances find out that I mess with the craft, they immediately ask "but you're doing the good kind of magic, right?" So, I personally prefer the Latin terms Maleficium and Beneficium. These better encapsulate the difference between working with ill intentions (malice) and working to heal (benefit). Although something of a trope, a sort of stereotype rooted more in both folklore and mass media than in how real magic is done in the world, this duality still helps classify our knowledge of the magical arts.

Rather than bringing the one you desire closer, or manifesting a hot night with some mysterious lover to be named, I wanted to focus more on a simple ritual to help you decide between 2 existing lovers! Yas queen, we are talking about asking the Goddess for which one stays, and which one goes...
