Welcome to your April 2020 astrological overview!

April proves to be a mighty and potent month ahead. The Sun will be spending the first portion of the month in the sign of Aries. This brings about a noticeable shift energetically, encouraging everyone to be self-sufficient. Jupiter will make a rare conjunction to Pluto, shining a light on intense and often brutal topics. Pluto is the lord of the underworld and rules everything from death and destruction to regeneration. Pluto's keyword is evolution. Both physically and spiritually. Pluto will be meeting up with Jupiter in Capricorn, amplifying the world's current conditions. This is a once in about every twelve-year aspect, and promises even more significant upheavals in the weeks ahead. While some astrologers suggest this is the "kiss of death," I see things a bit differently. It's my job to inform readers and clients that the "stars impel, they do not compel." AKA; the astrology provides the framework to have experiences; it doesn't always dictate our lives. It merely provides the atmosphere. Be gentle with yourselves; you're spiritual beings having a human experience. Death and destruction are made possible by fear. By choosing not to buy into fear, but being observant and CHOOSING to evolve, it makes this time a whole lot more enjoyable. This will be kicked off with the Full Moon in Libra on the 7th, where we will be at a crossroads. Libra always implies balance and mediation. However, for this lunation, we see some challenging aspects to Pluto. Both the Sun and Moon will square Pluto at the Full Moon, suggesting a difference of perspective in partnerships. There is a theme of division, and not sharing the same views when it comes to tradition. Some may decide to part ways with partners and relationships that don't share the same dreams for the future. Many people will choose to evolve and move on from dead-end professional relationships.

Throughout this month, The Sun will form two significant squares to planets in Capricorn, suggesting speed bumps ahead. This intensity will primarily be mid-month then begin to fade. When squares to Jupiter appear, this suggests over amplification or exaggeration. Some situations may seem much more challenging to overcome than they are. Sun squares to Pluto, on the other hand, are straight-up power struggles. Be mindful of this energy, proceed with caution, and don't go toe to toe in any situations you aren't willing to see all the way through. I expect people to behave much colder and harsher than usual. Granted, so much of the astrology suggests this is what we are moving away from, and not everyone will be on the evolution bandwagon. Federal and local governments, military personal, and police task forces are likely to be heavy-handed. Both in a sense of presence and how they handle the general public. In the weeks ahead I expect certain groups to flex their power and control. Once again, I recommend observing what goes on. Saturn has moved into the new sign of Aquarius, and will be clashing with Uranus in Taurus. This is intended to bring social change, financial changes, and more importantly awareness of the planet. I assume in the wake of recent world events, people will be moved by how much our planet is recovering in our absence socially. I hope that this is enough to get people thinking differently about our resources. Whether we really want to continue depreciating our planet’s resources the way we have. It's possible new innovative ways of farming or producing food will emerge.

Mercury enters the fiery sign of Aries mid-month, giving a voice to the individuals. Intentions set on a personal level are powerful at that time. Self-help and awareness materials will be well absorbed then. On the 20th of the month, the Sun moves into the earth sign of Taurus. This fixed sign loves to bask in the beauty and luxury of the world. The senses will seem stronger than ever. When the Sun moves into this sign, we become hyper-aware of stability and what we need to feel secure. This will be a welcomed change as Taurus blends well with the mass amount of planets we currently have in earth and water signs. The New Moon in Taurus is on the 22nd of the month, helping set new intentions financially. However, this New Moon is conjunct Uranus, which promises a bit of unpredictability. Unconventional comes to mind with a New Moon conjunct Uranus. This guarantees a solid six months ahead with both romantic and financial changes for the masses. Values and priorities are expected to fluctuate and change as needed. Pluto will begin his retrograde on April 25th, and like with most retrogrades, this is a time when a planet isn't functioning at full capabilities. When Pluto goes retrograde, it's not as noticeable but very potent. This would be an excellent time to take a look at where Capricorn is in your own natal chart, as it's likely to show you an area of your life that's under construction. Pluto retrograde helps dig up all the hang-ups and unnoticeable forces that have been holding you back. Pay close attention to around the 25th when that same day, Mercury in Aries squares Pluto, and you're likely to see who or what has been holding you back.

On the 26th of the month, the Sun conjuncts with Taurus. This is an annual conjunction and an important one to watch. Unexpected events that sometimes prove to be explosive take place with this transit. Shortly after, on the 27th, Mercury enters Taurus and joins the Uranus conjunction days later on April 30th. The good news is, planets moving into Taurus are heavily supported by the rest of the cosmos. Saturn is in alignment all month long with Venus in Gemini, opening up necessary lines of communication. With both Saturn and Venus in air signs, conversations flow, and feel less restrictive. This allows us to move forward, better understanding one another. As we move into May, planets will harmonize with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, shining like a beacon of light. It's then we gain stability once again, and build better, stronger foundations for our future. April is the absolute last stop in 2020 to remove and let go of something toxic in our lives. Likely it's going to be people and situations you didn't expect.

Aries

Tarot Card: Eight of Wands- Full steam ahead, forward motion, Swift changes.

Relationships are a hot topic for the Full Moon this month. Finding the balance with others can prove to be a challenging task. Keep your cool when it comes to hearing other people out. Sometimes trying to understand someone else's point of view is a necessary part of finding a middle ground. Both professional and personal relationships are going to be going through transformations. Those that fall off, are likely for the better. Your sign along with fellow cardinal placements are going to experience more pressure than usual this month. Your task is to focus on what you can control about yourself and your life, not so much others. The New Moon brings your attention to your own personal values and finances. It's an excellent time to set up a budget for the future. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing you new waves of social connections and friends. You're likely to notice fluctuation with friendships and new goals on the horizon. This will slowly evolve over the next eighteen months until you have networked your way to the top, professionally and socially. Something is shifting slowly in your career, and you'll begin to see what outdated systems and powers need to evolve to give you a better sense of control in your professional life. Avoid bullies, power struggles, or games as they're likely only to send you into a spiral. Think more group, collaborative work, less focus on heavy, overbearing bosses.

Taurus

Tarot Card: King of Cups- Water sign male, mastering of your emotions.

Examine your health and routine. What is it about your schedule that isn't working? It's possible there's a crisis with a partnership at work. Maybe your spouse has a change in schedule or work location. Regardless, the lesson is to not allow other peoples drama to bring you down. Focus on consistency within your own life. Find the time to prioritize your own health and wellness. Make the necessary changes to better balance your fitness, diet, or physical health. If you need assistance in doing this, it's likely the Full Moon will bring the perfect person. The New Moon is in your personal sign, and gives you the opportunity to focus on new goals. These may relate to your physical body and appearance. If you're looking to making some style changes, it's a green light! Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing you new goals professionally. In the next eighteen months, you will build a strong network of friendships and professional relationships. The very foundation of your professional life will be laid. You're likely to experience challenges when it comes to travel or foreign business. This is likely out of your hands. Your goal is to find ways to better connect without having to power-play people. This can be an extremely favorable time for you to participate in any career-building or continuing education. Your vision for the world is slowly changing; soon, you will see the fruits of your labors.

Gemini

Tarot Card: Six of Cups- Reminiscing, childhood, children. Someone returns. Reconciliation.

Creativity and passion run hot this month. The Full Moon is emphasizing your house of creativity and playtime. The Full Moon will be in Libra, a fellow sister air sign. With help from both Venus and Saturn, something special is developing in your life. This can come in the form of completing a creative project or perhaps even deciding to have a child. Regardless of what it is that transpires, it will be a labor of love. Expressing affection and true love is a common theme with this house. Those of you looking for true love may just find it. The New Moon will be taking place in your hidden sector. You may be looking to take some time to turn inward and focus on spiritual or emotional matters. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing you opportunities to explore education and adventure. Saturn in your ninth house suggests friendships from far away places, new lines of continuing education and more. Those of you looking to complete educational goals, or even start teaching yourselves will be rewarded. Taxes and joint resources seem a bit stressful. You're going to benefit from ways of really maximizing your support by working with another. Be that filing taxes jointly, or perhaps looking for someone to help you make the best of a challenging financial situation. When in doubt, seek help. Don't try to tackle this on your own.

Cancer

Tarot Card: Two of Swords- Decisions, torn, a crossroad.

This is a dramatic and impactful month ahead. The Full Moon is taking place in your home and family zone. Significant changes are likely taking place within your physical home or family. Emotions may be tense in a relationship at home when meaningful conversations arise about joint finances or a child. Some of you are learning how to better communicate what it is you need to feel safe in the world. Others are still working out the kinks when it comes to taking care of a child. Put your heads together and find a way that involves working together to come up with a solution. The New Moon shines a light in your friendship sector. You may be setting new goals for the future that involve working with friends. If you've been looking to join a group or network, now is the time. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing you a series of events that brings you closer to intimacy. Whether this means filing joint taxes, talking about health insurance or credit scores, regardless, you're going to have to get down to the nitty-gritty that helps you better plan your future. Relationships may very well be on the verge of either a breakdown or a breakthrough. It's up to you to decide if you think you're both working together to achieve a common goal. If you find partnerships are eroding, and in a constant state of coldness, bring your attention back to you. Some people will change, some will not. In the end, if you're not happy, you have to ask yourself why YOU continue to stay.

Leo

Tarot Card: Six of Swords- in limbo, moving away, or moving on. Likely for the better.

Meaningful conversations are taking place this month; you should pay attention. The Full Moon shines a light on your communication zone. The better connected you are, the smoother this is likely to go. You may be having to adapt quickly to changes taking place in your career. Those of you suddenly having to shift and work from home, or a adapt to a new schedule may have a few hurdles. Staying connected, and communicating effectively via phone or email is key. The better you express yourself and your needs, the more likely other people are to assist you. Update any necessary software or electronics. The New Moon shines a light on your career sector, helping you set intentions for better partnering with others in the world. Whether your focus is on bringing in a new client or finding your soul mate, it's supported! Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing you new opportunities in love. However, typically this starts with someone who enters or leaves your life. There is much more of a seriousness when it comes to commitment, and you're likely to seek stronger bonds with others. Those of you looking to find the perfect spouse or business partnership are in luck. Your task is to learn to make space for another. You've likely been dealing with intensity regarding a health or workspace situation. This is going to take place off and on all year long. A stressful work environment may be contributing to a health matter. You may fare better getting out of a toxic situation, practice healthy boundaries.

Virgo

Tarot Card: The Lovers- Choices and decisions. Passion, romance, and inspiration.

This is a month to make some big financial decisions. You're likely eyeing a costly expense or purchase. Be cautious if this involves a joint bank account and talk over any decisions prior with a partner. They are likely to have something to say about the decision that is about to be made. On the plus side, the Full Moon is especially favorable for others being generous with you. The New Moon will be taking place in your house of foreign travel and education. If you've been eyeing ways to upgrade your work performance, now is the time. Looking into continuing education or taking trips to participate in group learning is encouraged. Those of you yearning for a vacation, this is a potent time to start planning. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to your health and routine. You may be needing to commit to some serious health routines, or possibly even a completely new schedule. Stay calm and collected despite this change, and you'll see it was actually to provide you with more freedom. This freedom is meant to expand your overall health and schedule in the long run. After all, it can't be all work and no play! Take time to dig a bit deeper into your creative endeavors. Sometimes all it takes a little bit of romance to get you feeling inspired again. Lean in to love, and let the stars do the rest.

Libra

Tarot Card: The Knight of Cups- A charming suitor, a water sign male.

The start of the month has a Full Moon in your sign. While this is typically a positive and abundant time, there are a few hang-ups from the cosmos. The Full Moon shines a light on your physical body and appearance. However, it is in conflict with your home and partnerships. You may been torn between sticking out with a home or relationship and starting over. You and another may not see eye to eye when it comes to future plans, and if so, that's ok. You're only in control of you and your actions, no one else's. When in doubt, choose yourself. This is a trying time for your sign, to learn to prioritize happiness over self sacrifice. The New Moon will be taking place in your eighth house of "others." This is an exciting time for you, Libra. So much of your astrology suggests potentially thinking about having a child, or evolving with another. Whether it's about figuring out joint insurance or finances, speak up. Now is a valuable time to ensure you're on the same page as others when it comes to resources. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to creativity. In the months ahead, many of you will lean more so into your heart space. Dance, music, painting and all the other creative areas will be enhanced. Children and joy will be a big factor in your life. It's time to ask yourself what makes you happy.

Scorpio

Tarot Card: King of Wands- Fire sign male, creative work.

Something is stirring in your subconscious. The Full Moon is in your hidden sector. This can indicate an unexpected relationship or emotional changes. Often when I see a Full Moon here, I recommend clients relax, take a break mentally and enjoy some downtime. Fear and anxiety can crop up here. Managing it and not allowing it to control your outlook is important. Be extra mindful of your physical or mental health, as it can send you into a tizzy. Get adequate rest and relaxation. If something feels off with a partnership, it most likely is real and can come to the surface during the Full Moon. If a partner has been hiding something from you, it will be exposed. The New Moon is a fresh new start when it comes to relationships. It's likely this month you see a lot of changes with relationships. I want to reassure you the differences are with OTHERS, not YOU. Now its about how you adapt, or choose not to. Observe how others grow, and if you can work with these changes, partnerships strengthen. Communication is key. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to your home and family zone. Many of you will be looking to make some changes in your physical home zone and to be honest, it's necessary. Whether this is finally leaving your family home, or making the decision to take the next step and move in with a partner, it's all supported.

Sagittarius

Tarot Card: The Devil- Overcoming challenging limitations professionally.

Celebrations are on the horizon. The Full Moon brings it's attention to your house of friendships and wishes. Your partner or friend is likely to want to include you in some good news. The challenge is around the time of the Full Moon, there may be some limiting factors in physically coming together with other people. It's likely this is temporary, and I encourage you to find different ways to connect. Phone calls, Skype sessions, and face time can serve as an excellent way to support others if you can't physically come together. The New Moon is located in your work zone. If you've been waiting to make healthy positive lifestyle changes, the cosmos support it! This is a great time to start ironing out a new schedule or work out routine. This can also bring you a new office space, or the beginning of a new work project. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to your communication. A strong theme in your astrology is building a platform digitally. Many of you may be in the first steps of writing a program or outline. For others it may be in the form of a blog or a podcast. This may be to educate or better reach the masses. Regardless, keep going. Keep in mind your budget, there's no need to break the bank. Your finances are likely to improve the better in tune you are to your natural talents.

Capricorn

Tarot Card:: Knight of Pentacles- A cautious earth sign, slow and evolving. Financial news.

What role do relationships play in your life? The Full Moon is an important time to pay attention. It's likely to show you where you are or are not doing enough to connect with others. If it leaves you feeling unsupported, take note. The cosmos speak to you being able to be better connected. If you don't like what you see, now is a great time to make a change. The New Moon shines a light also on romance. In the sign of Taurus, it's heavily supported, so whoever or whatever shows up, pay close attention. You're likely to meet someone unusual or unlike anyone you've ever met before. On the other hand, it can bring you an immense amount of creative energy. This can help turn a hobby into a thriving business. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to your finances. Now that Saturn has entered into your house of money, you will benefit from working out a budget. You're going to learn some creative and cost-effective ways to have fun while staying on course financially. You fare better in these situations than most signs, so I have faith in you. Pluto will turn retrograde soon in your own sign, allowing you to better tune into your own personal power. Powerful shifts are taking place when it comes to your physical appearance. Higher standards and self-esteem are on the horizon.

Aquarius

Tarot Card: Two of Cups- Partnerships and growth, what others have to offer.

This month you're likely to hear from friends in faraway places. Relationships (both romantic and professional) to others in other cities or countries become highlighted. While travel may be delayed, feelings won't. The Full Moon will illuminate your beliefs on love and support. Spiritually, there's growth on the horizon as the Moon suggests a connection to a higher power. Those of you looking to complete education goals may see the finishing process, and publishing is also a positive topic this month. The New Moon is in your home zone, and is likely to have you feeling all sorts of ways. Especially if you're someone who's got an impeding move here soon, the end of April through June will have quite a few of you relocating, or experiencing changes in your family. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to your physical body and own sense of independence. Those of you looking to make changes in your appearance will do well, as long as you're focusing on what pleases you. Take note of any physical body issues, especially relating to the circulation or the ankles. Saturn moving into your sign lays the foundation for necessary independence. This may come in the form of moving, releasing old friendships, or even focusing on your career. Regardless, when in doubt, bring your attention back to yourself. You're in the driver's seat. The next year ahead will be important in laying the foundation for the life you've always wanted; you just have to learn to let go.

Pisces

Tarot Card: Ten of Coins- Long term planning and goals, financial reward.

You are now moving into a period of change. To better prepare for this change, you may experience a few farewells this month. The Full Moon in your eighth house suggests a departure of a partnership or source of income. It's likely someone or something that needs to be wrapped up. Insurance, joint finances, as well as hidden secrets may emerge with this Full Moon. While this seems ominous, it's really not. It's just the time of your annual year where you find clarity. The New Moon is in your house of communication, and shines a light on new ways of connecting to others. It's a powerful time for meetings, writing, and education. If you've been looking for a way to get out of town and make time to get away, its right around the corner. Saturn has now moved into Aquarius bringing your attention to the twelfth house, which rules the unseen in your life. Meditation will be a lifesaver in the months and years to come; I can not stress this enough. When things get heavy, you will benefit from stepping away and finding peace of mind. This will bring you necessary clarity on matters that seem challenging. Pluto is turning retrograde in your friend zone, so you may become acutely aware of shifts socially. If a friend is toxic and outdated, don't hesitate pulling the plug. It's time for an upgrade.
