Obsidian Gargoyle

Obsidian is a dark, mysterious stone that is formed by rapidly cooling volcanic lava. It gets it's black color from it's high iron content, and it's structure is closer related to glass than a mineral or crystal.

Gargoyles symbolize protection, and were often used as storytelling agents representing sin, evil and the spiritual imbalances of the world. These little statues are perfect for the center of your altar or crystal grid, and can be used as an aid for clairvoyance. Some specimens may show a dark silver glittery iridescence in the sunlight.

Origin: Obsidian can be found in almost every part of the world, including the Americas, Easters and Northern Europe, Asia and Russia.

Magic + Metaphysics + Healing: Obsidian is essential for grounding and protection. It helps reveal hidden issues and emotions, and because of this is also excellent for cleansing. Obsidian is also great for spirit communication, making it ideal for scrying and enhancing clairvoyance. May aid with digestion and issues with the digestive system.

Specs: Each gargoyle or grotesque weighs approx 177 grams and measures approx 4" ta;; x 1.5" wide

Care: To cleanse, let the point sit in a warm salt water bath. To charge it, let it dry in direct sunlight.
