About this deck: The Thoth deck is the famed tarot deck conceptualized by legendary occultist Aleister Crowley, and painted by Lady Frieda Harris. This deck was meant to be an update to the Rider- Waite deck and was originally slated for only 6 months of production, but took nearly 5 years before the deck was fully designed, from 1938- 1943/ The Thoth deck proved to be more than an update, and instead a window into Crowley's mind and beliefs which reflected his perspectives on science, philosophy, and the various occult systems which he enthusiastically practiced and taught. Both Crowley and Harris died before the deck went into publication in 1969.
